Boost Process Control with Verisurf
INSPECTION PLANNER
Take control of your inspection process with easy to create and operate, automated measurement plans. Plans are easy to follow, live work instructions that efficiently guide an operator through the inspection process using any type of 3D measuring device.
Inspection Planner is the solution to many headaches facing manufacturers, providing the means to create and execute inspection plans for arms, trackers, scanners, and manual CMMs. It also supports executing proven inspection plans on CNC CMMs supporting all 3-axis and 5-axis probing systems. Inspection Planner will help get parts out the door while at the same time ensuring products meet specifications with ease.
Inspection Planner includes Verisurf CAD, DESIGN with MBD, and VDI (Verisurf Device Interface), as well as the popular Auto Inspect & Report Manager.
Automate portable CMM arms, trackers and scanners with repeatable inspection plans that significantly improve process control.
The Inspection Planner Suite includes the VDI – Verisurf Device Interface.
Simple Measurement Plan Creation
- Easily build inspection plans by simple mouse-selecting features in the CAD model
- GD&T callouts from the drawing including datum designations and relationship dependencies are simple to apply via intuitive dialogs and controls
- Verisurf’s true CAD foundation efficiently imports all common file formats including IGES, STEP, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk, CATIA, NX, Creo and others
Plans may be created from CAD, drawings, or both.
- Complex GD&T is greatly simplified by INSPECTION PLANNER, making complex callouts much easier to manage, even for inspectors who are not GD&T experts
- Compared to traditional methods of GD&T measurement with hand tools and gages, measuring callouts such as profile, position, runout, perpendicularity, concentricity, etc., can be accomplished in a fraction of the time
- Inspection reports are completely customizable and automatically populated with no cut-and-paste required
GD&T and Reporting Simplified
Inspection reports are generated automatically ensuring consistent and reliable data, relieving the operator from painstaking analysis and manual formatting of measurement results. For some of the more complex and extensive GD&T requirements, Inspection Planner can save a lot of time an anguish while at the same time improving process control.
Reduce Inspection Staffing Issues
- Creating plans requires no coding or advanced skills and can be accomplished with rudimentary training
- Nominals are assigned automatically from CAD
- Tolerances that are “semantic” (directly associated with CAD features in the model) may be automatically assigned in the plans
