5-Axis CMM Scan Paths

Technique:  Circle Scan

CIRCLE SCAN is a 5-axis CMM tactile scanning technique. Scan circular features up to 4000 data points per second. Circular path improves accuracy by minimizing the dynamic effect of moving of all three axes. The circle scan is ideally suited for inside bores, such as engine blocks where the form is critical.

The CIRCLE SCAN is a defined routine that scans circular features. By defining the expected path, REVO-2 utilizes its 2-axis drive system to follow the surface and minimize the affects on accuracy of moving the three CMM axes.
